Op-ed (in tweet form)

Op-ed (in tweet form): Happy #4thOfJuly to states that practice liberty. #USA ranks 15th in freedom, and will keep falling if the fruitcakes (AL, AR, ID, KY, LA, MS, MO, ND, OK, SD, TN, TX, UT, WY) with trigger laws use tax dollars (even though they worship small government) to promote their inner Taliban.

Another 2192 days of globalist thinking has commenced

A big thank you to all the support from 50 countries (award for most surprising viewership comes from Turkmenistan) for following Global Editorial, on this the day of its 6th anniversary (2192 days to be exact). It wouldn't be a celebration without a no holds barred 335 second spiel on the cliff's edge. Dear world: I'd love to stop getting on my soapbox, so do me a favour, end the infatuation with borders, it's just plain xenophobic!

What better place to rant about a mountainous landlocked nation, than by the South Pacific Ocean.

For those wondering what the meaning behind my attire is (no, it's not an advertisement for a Japanese car maker), then you're obviously not from the world's 55th most populace nation, home to 0.33% of its earthlings. Astute readers will remember its last appearance, refresher for folk who can't be bothered to go back 18 months in their memory bank. https://globaleditorial.blogspot.com/2020/02/bidding-farewell-to-big-d.html

Here's why I still wear the mighty blue and white stripes. I proudly support sporting teams that lack success (refer to my undying love for the Minnesota Wild), and for this reason I'll celebrate any win I can get, even if it means celebrating coming in last place. Here's to North Melbourne's 14th wooden spoon (first since 1972), another 13 to go before we match St Kilda's all-time record. We North supporters cling on to the fact that our club was the last team to win a flag (championships) in the 20th Century. For those befuddled at what I'm on about, let's just say, I'm making reference to the oldest football league in the world, one that is unique to the arse end of the world. This is GE in a nutshell, going off tangent 24/7.

Land of inoculation going to the polls

As of typing, 64% of Canada's population (70% of those aged 12 and above) is fully vaccinated, some would facetiously say this is why Justin Pierre James Trudeau called a snap election for 20 September. Not long ago, Canucks were whining that they lagged behind the US, well who's laughing now, only 50% of Americans have the double dose (blame the Southern states and their 1861 views). If you want to hear something even sadder, the nation that finished sixth in the medal tally in Tokyo 2021 has only 21% of its population fully vaxxed, goes to show sport takes precedence over science. I will name this nation when it breaks the 50% barrier, until then, it doesn’t deserve the world’s attention.

Back to all things O Canada. The election was actually due in October 2023, but a "little known" pandemic has changed all that. It’s a sneaky move from Justin, a few months ago Canada was struggling with their rollout, and now they’re the envy of the planet. (Interesting tidbit: my 13 year old nephew in Montreal has been double-vaxxed, installs my faith in the future, go you good thing). Canadian have always been a proud pro vaccine nation, they get that vaccines are part of an advanced society. Take note, the “great” state of Texas (sadly, 10% of my life was spent there - shout out to Big D), their Governor won’t even allow contract tracing in schools, making education facilities a free for all for spreading a virus. I get it, Texas loves death, especially among demographics with skin tones its government disagrees with (have you caught on yet). They know this pandemic has disproportionately affected brown and black communities, so the confederates are loving not protecting their citizenry.

All eyes will be on the number 338 (if you need the assistance of an electronic device or a search engine to understand the meaning of this, then the education system in your jurisdiction has failed you). Trudeau’s Liberals are on course to take 162 seats in the House of Commons, which is an upgrade from the current 155, but still not enough for outright governance. Minority government is best for all, especially when Canadian Conservatives are trying to mimic their counterparts to the south, so it’s imperative progressives don’t simply follow the status quo to retain power, they need accountability from the true progressives, like the NDP (New Democratic Party). NDP is led by the man that should be PM, Jagmeet Singh. For people from backward advanced nations (there’s such a thing, hint: refer to all those that scapegoat immigrants), Singh is a proud Indian Punjabi, has no qualms wearing his turban.

On 20/9/21, I urge all Canadians from far and wide to get out and vote. Those not fortunate to have citizenship of the True White North, then do yourself a favour and take note of this land of vaccination and immigrants, this is how a real melting pot operates. It has been a tumultuous year for Canada (https://globaleditorial.blogspot.com/2021/07/off-tangent-cycling-encore-with-canuck.html), however, it has a habit of owning up to its past without using coded racist language, you know, that classic line: it was another time back then, why should we take responsibility. I know most earthlings will struggle to follow this vote, the pull of America still runs deep, even with a President that is having a hard time treating the undocumented as humans, remember the “smelly” Irish (circa 1820), don't get me started on Biden's July 8th prediction that the Taliban won't run riot over Afghanistan after the exit of US forces, and his reluctance to give safe passage to Afghan interpreters - I digress...I know for a fact that the California recall election in 4 weeks will attract more clickbait. If earthlings obsess a little more over the Great White North, we might have a fully vaccinated world a lot sooner.

It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)

As featured on 17/7/2021, it's a proven fact double-vaxxed earthlings can cycle and film at the same time. Warning: the following 304 seconds contains graphic images of a non-existent Southern Hemisphere winter in the Kingdom of Queens Park (the greatest of 658 suburbs in Sydney that no one loses sleep over globally). Also, includes commentary that will jump from all things skylines, being jabbed, overrated tech brands, healthcare, and most importantly, out of control crime. Don't tell me I didn't warn you!

Lockdown 10km (6.2 mi) cycling bubble. No better place to be stuck for daily exercise on two wheels. Sadly, this land of immigrants is currently closed. Once it gets off its high horse of using a pesky plague to enact White Australia type policies (circa 23/12/1901), I'll happily give my fellow earthlings a guided tour of the Satanic East (the name Sydneysiders give Eastern Suburbs residents, blame kale eating hipsters).
