Hola mundo, America is still open

The Democrats have been promoting the diversity that makes America truly great, something the G.O.P. lost in the anger at their quadrennial bigot-fest last week. Sure, the Democrats aren't exactly saints, their candidate for President (a Methodist) still supports capital punishment - what's with people of faith and their love for the death penalty? One things for sure, we heard more Spanish in one hour in Philadelphia than in 4 days in Cleveland. Talking about that language (associated with Republicans losing sleep), there was a moment that gave bigots worldwide a collective heart attack. I give you exhibit A: Adriano Espaillat (member of the NY State Senate), a formerly undocumented immigrant (yes, the American Dream is still working) was on stage, not just as a state representative but, as the nominee for New York's 13th congressional district (which he is certain to win). My sincerest apologies, to another New Yorker hell-bent on flaming fires, get used to someone who was an illegal immigrant representing the Empire State on Capitol Hill.

See Canada, we are still accepting down here, even though we have blatant racists on "fair and balanced" news network trying to suck the love out of humankind. Thus far this week we are witnessing the real America, one where you are welcome no matter what. Another guest on the night was a Nevada State Senator, speaking proudly as an African-American lesbian war veteran. After last weeks debacle the world thought America was a white supremacists mecca - only 18 out of 2,472 (0.73%) delegates at the G.O.P. convention were African-American (who make up 13% of the U.S. population), need I say more! The Democrat Andrew Jackson (from cleansing Native Americans and rounding up slaves fame) is a hero to many in the G.O.P. Today, he would find solace among supporters at a Republican rally, no wonder they are being led back to the dark ages by a full-blown racist. I urge all the hateful conservatives to find the nearest time machine and teleport back to 1829, where you can play all the race games you want. 

This election cycle has established that haters are going hate, no matter how many times they listen to a sermon in church about compassion. If you genuinely seethe at the downtrodden (I include hateful posts on social media), yes, I am talking the undocumented, impoverished fleeing persecution, disabled, homeless or heaven forbid someone who looks different to you, than you are no person of faith. All you are, is a two-faced empty vessel hiding behind guns, god and a hateful cult passing off as a political party. In November, a revolution will take place in these United States, one that will flush out the rednecks who can't bring themselves to say: black lives matter. While you're at, take that Confederate flag and go back to the continent you originated from - that would most probably mean "socialist" Europe - oh, the irony.

Dear our Martian friends: this Earthling superpower is passing away in front of our eyes, please come and resuscitate her.

Looking back, I can see that I was being too nice in describing the poor excuse of a human running for the Presidency. After what was a 75 minute car crash in Cleveland last night witnessed by the world, it is 100% certain that anyone who supports this fascist demigod should question their humanity.

Why let facts get in the way of scaring the bejesus out of gullible Americans, who gloss over reality and fall to their knees in awe of this reality TV prophet. Fact: violent crime is down 26% across the board in the last decade. (Just quietly, homicides were twice as high under The Reagan and George H. W. Bush administrations than they are currently). Sorry to those who think media hysteria actually equates to day-to-day life in 2016. We are not all dying on the streets from a constant barrage of evil lurking among us from the southern border, and those who have a skin tone belonging to the people's we all originated from. 

This will infuriate the bigots, but crime caused by illegals is less per head than the average population, and even illegal border crossings are at 40 year lows. Poor little backward humanoids, you want to spit on those different from you (breaking news: we're all immigrants) but why is it that you never mention the white maniacs among us, oh, that's right, you have one as your Messiah (in the form of a tangerine racist living in his NY lair). We are dealing with dangerous people, the kind that want to scapegoat minorities, yet ignore any crime committed by their "type". There is a long list (even if you ignore the massacres in Charleston, Oklahoma City and Sandy Hook) of countless white crimes committed daily, heck even in one of America's most affluent towns (Plano, Texas) there have been examples of privileged white folk slaughtering their own. Humans can be hateful, no matter their creed or color, start by using that line, before outing only those you seek to use in your covert racist monologues.

I am proud to call the U.S. my adopted home, mainly due to the fact it is a melting pot that is all about a mass of humanity that grows as one. I will never tire of saying this (read carefully): if you are not a Native American your ancestors came from other lands, please refer to your family tree. I know this is difficult to comprehend, but humans share 99.9% of DNA, and even the whitest among us can trace their lineage to Africa. Let's all take a deep breath and celebrate what makes America great (yes, I went there): rising above the pettiness of judging folk on the outside and realizing we are all the same. If countries want to remain monolcultural or pit groups against each other, we not need lower ourselves to that medieval thinking. America keeps preaching about being a shining light and a beacon of liberty, can't see that being used if we are being led by fear mongers and worst of all, ordinary citizens taking the bait and believing false truths.

America just celebrated her 240th birthday, let's not forget it was built by the "great unwashed" (many of those came with nothing, not even documents). If we want to celebrate our 241st as a modern inclusive nation, then we must say an emphatic 'No' to the wannabe fascist Führer and his sheep on November 8th. Only then, will America remain a bastion of acceptance.

PS. Economically we're doing just fine - refer to Dallas' own Texas Instruments (one of the world's leading semiconductor developers), which has manufacturing and research labs in its backyard. Then you have Tesla Motors in Fremont, California. State-of-the-art electric vehicles exported worldwide, designed and made in the USA - China and Mexico will be disappointed.

Ellis Island style acceptance: the antidote to race-mongers on both sides of the pond

I see the Philistines across the pond got what they wished for - a beautiful bigoted Britain, to be freed of all those immigrants. Let's stop and pause for a minute, oh that's right, most Brits themselves have Roman blood, heck, many can trace their ancestry to what we now refer to as Spain. We are all from some odd foreign land, unless of course we're natives, in which case, we will be trod upon by savage settlers. 

Talking Spain, interesting how so many Brits have moved their for sunshine and a laid back lifestyle, majority don't even speak the language and yet have been allowed to operate businesses and work - you guessed it, the privileges of being an EU member. Now, those same Spanish have also been able to gain the benefits from a global financial center such as London. As you can see, benefits run both ways, it's called free movement of people's. On my many travels to the UK, I can tell you for a fact, that is you were to say goodbye to the 500,000 or so Poles in England, you would also say goodbye to all those blue-collar jobs, good luck finding a builder. 

Not surprisingly, Londoners voted in favor of remaining (it has and always will be a global citizen), so to Scotland (let's hope the Scottish take another Independence vote and join Ireland as Europeans). How ironic, that the racist barbarians (that vile creature running for US President) own mother fled Scotland for a new life in NY, and now her offspring is gloating about 'Brexit' at a Scottish golf course - he really is deranged. For the icing on the cake, the bigots had a collective heart attack when they realized by exiting the EU they will attract the kinds they were so scared of. The Middle East is celebrating, the pound falling means more high-end property will be bought up by the playboys of Gulf monarchies. Not to mention, sending kids to top end colleges became a lot cheaper. As they say in the classics: be careful what you wish for...

Now, all we need is for Americans to rid themselves of full-blown racists and their supporters - haters who hide behind closed doors often using religion or pleasantries (those in the South will know what I'm referring to, using covet phrases like 'bless your heart' in public then spewing hatred on Facebook). Come the first Tuesday of November, let's hope the U.S. becomes the actual leader of the free world and shoves racism, bigotry and xenophobia back to where it belongs - 1950's America.

Which brings me to Independence Day, on the 4th of July let us all rejoice over this great land inhabitant by immigrants (whether documented or undocumented). If you are not a Native American, then please don't holler about wanting your country back. If we can take in the "smelly" Irish of the 19th century, we can surely take in our fair share of Syrian refugees, even non-Christian ones - shock horror! I am a proud product of immigrants (welcomed in by a Muslim nation), I was raised in a nation built by foreigners, now having emigrated to the nation of Lady Liberty, I know my door will be forever open to the world.

Inhumanity is no barrier to capital

Here's a question that might baffle you: as of today, name the world's most valuable private company? Time to put you out of your misery, it's Uber. This ride sharing platform has made incredible strides since its inception in 2009, so much so that Saudi Princes, Reema Bander al-Saud recently joined Uber's public policy board. (Another board addition is Yasir Al Rumayyan, head of the  Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund). Which is a good segway into how US firms still seek Saudi interest, put it's issue of creating modern terror to one side, if Iran played such a big role in American capitalism, you would no doubt not hear the end of it. If you've been mesmerized by a bumpkin (disguised as a con artist) intent on taking America back to the 18 the century, you should think about the following: Uber just announced it has received a $3.5 billion capital injection from Saudi Arabia. Uber, to its credit is highlighting caveats for the decision to accept money from the terror experts; assistance in the area of economic and social reform (hence the adding of the above mentioned princes, who happens to be a women's advocate).

Hilarious how Americans can get so uptight over the use of bathrooms, in turn urging boycotts of various companies, yet fall eerily quiet over firms dealing with the devil (you know, the one that caused the largest attack on American soil). Maybe there is truth to the fact that as many Americans seek going back to the future, their views align with that of despotic regimes, ones that celebrate denying the freedom to choose a bathroom of you r choice. In layman's terms: conservatism will always find solace with pariah states. Oh dear, that aforementioned swindler seeking the Presidency is our fault. Maybe Uber is playing one sick joke, taking the enemies money whilst infiltrating regime change. Forget the 43rd President who orchestrated war crimes in the name of freedom, Uber might just go one better in promoting real change without any blood spilling, in the form of making it mandatory to hire woman drivers on Riyadh streets.

When all is said and done, Uber is now valued at $62.5 billion - apologies to my fellow humans in Uruguay (GDP of some $57 billion), you are in trouble of being bought out by a 7-year-old upstart. The sky's the limit, if Uber goes public it will be a huge windfall for investors, and remember who will stand to gain the most outside of its founders - those modern-day puritans cleansing the world of liberalism. Who knows, maybe when they ring the bell at the NYSE, the princes will make an announcement that Uber has created democracy in the kingdom via ride sharing and not through pandering rhetoric attached to arms deals.

The despot and his legion of minions

Thus far 11 million humans (if you can call them that) have voted for a misogynist racist bigot, his name deserves no more publicity - sub-humans must remain nameless! Fascinating that 11 million is also the figure of illegal immigrants. 

Here's a thought: for every vote cast in favor of this vile creature, one illegal immigrant gets awarded citizenship. What do you know, this would mean all illegals will be fully integrated into the U.S. (a nation famous for its acceptance of the huddled masses). Apologies to the the army of robots worshiping a propagandist, but if you find this unfathomable you can always flee across the northern or southern border - barring any 'walls' of course.

We are all aware of the xenophobia that has been slowly simmering in the Republican kitchen over the past decades (with great assistance from certain "balanced" news organizations). We get it, the 40th President had a love affair with annihilating the poor/underprivileged with eloquent acting, and the 43rd loved nothing more than wasting taxpayers money on disastrous wars - that's socialism for you, GOP style. Then came along a con artist from NY and a deceitful Texan senator hell-bent on authoritarianism and theocracy, respectively. (While we are it, the bumpkins who voted for the medieval senator should also be replaced with compassionate humans, we are in 2016 not biblical times).

Plenty of countries partake in barbarian activities, none are of a forward-looking advanced variety (well, the U.S. and its death penalty connection is a major blight (refer to my post from October 13, 2015). My advice, to the precious million who support a wannabe tin pot dictator - dust off your passports (you know, that thing you use to explore the world) and seek asylum in a nation that will assist in your mission to sponsor hatred. You will be pleasantly surprised that many nations you want to carpet bomb, share a similar vision of playing-off citizens with false rhetoric. 

To the masses going nuts in the mass media, please take a moment for self-congratulatory - you created a monster by giving this barbarian air time. As for social media, I never knew so many could be brainwashed in this day and age, you think we were living in an era where we relied on old wives tales. Whoever voted, or is considering voting for this poor excuse of a human, please be sure to keep obeying your Mussolini doppelganger behind closed doors, we don't need your disease-spreading among a modern open-minded society.
