Everything is bigger in Texas, except for voter turnout

To my fellow Americans whingeing and whining about the make-up of the Senate and 115th United States Congress, remember that it's largely due to your laziness. Need I remind you, the 2014 midterms voter turnout was a paltry 36.4% the lowest in 70 years. My home state of Texas went gangbusters with a "massive" 28.4% turnout. Let's hope on November 6, we the people can at least crack the 50% barrier!

Here in Texas we have a doozy of a contest, well, if you have pasty skin and admire white European men taking each other on in America's most divers state, then you're in luck. Beto O'Rourke (doesn't want to promote his Irish heritage by using his actual name, Robert Francis, so goes by the Spanish nickname for Robert, good move, we saw how that Kennedy movie ended in Dallas) and Ted Cruz (born in Canada, speaks very poor Spanish for a someone with Cuban ancestry, forgoes his name of Rafael, so he's just as white as Mitch McConnell).

Everything is bigger in Texas, including political signs. There are so many Beto signs in Big D that they even outnumber squirrels.
Beto is raising campaign funds like no other, nit relying on Super Pacs (nice way of saying political lobbyists wanting to dictate your opinions) and having visited all 254 Texas counties has helped him gain national recognition, his boyish good looks and days as a musician haven't hurt either. He currently serves in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 16th District (home to El Paso), personally, I fee that his views are middle-of-the-road liberal, most conservatives in countries like Japan or Spain would support his views, universal healthcare, tight restriction on guns. However, this is Texas, where those views are considered socialist. With all this attention, he's literally being swamped by folk wherever he goes (just last week 60,000 turned out to see him in Austin), he still trails Cruz by 6% in the latest polls. I go back to my point of voter turnout, especially rings true in Texas.

Ted Cruz is a full-time politician, one of those classic conservatives that hates government, yet relies on a paycheck from the government. He advocates Tea Party style revolution, but all he can muster is lecturing folk on constitutional law whilst taking government handouts. Don't get me started on how much he spends on wining and dining in D.C. establishments, not to mention all the travel expenses. If only he practiced what he preached and actually did something for Texans he might well be in the White House now. Instead he sucks up to a President that bullied him and his family.

This great state is home to 28 million folk, most of the urban areas housing the majority if the population are skewed Democrat, but those are the people not turning out. The rural counties in Texas have habit of ganging up and fully backing the Republicans, hence why a Democrat Senator hasn't been sent to D.C. since 1993. Like California, Texas is becoming a minority-majority state, Hispanics are a big in numbers, but are not motivated to vote. Only when they participate more will we get the definitive answer as to whether or not Texas is really a Red State.

Only in Texas do two Ivy league graduates battle it out to garner the votes of folk who despise east coast educated politicians. In a perfect world we would have two people that actually represent the diversity of Texas, but politics is still a privileged white mans' game. On a side note, Lupe Valdez is running for Texas governor. She also happens to be a former sheriff and a proud 70-yer-old Hispanic gay woman. Currently trailing Governor Greg Abbott by 19.4%, which about sums up Texas Democrats in a nutshell.

To those not living in the Lone Star State, I wish you had enough time you to move here and register to vote. If you're reading this from outside the U.S. I feel sorry for you, living in nations where all you do is lose sleep over America is no way to live. Don't get caught up all this nationalist huff and puff coming from Washington, doors are open to y'all wanting to live in this nation built by immigrants for immigrants. Look no further than Houston, now America's most diverse city, not even a racist Commander-in-chief can stop H-town from being America's most diverse city.

Kingdom of Sverige faces its moment of truth

(Without referring to google translate, I do hope my globally astute readers are aware that Sverige refers to the Kingdom of Sweden).

Why should you care, you ask? Well, here is a little test to find out if you have made a monetary contribution to the Kingdom of Sweden. Do you own a Volvo vehicle? Do you use Electrolux appliances? Do you stream music on Spotify? Have you consumed medication owned by AstraZeneca? Have you made purchases at H & M or IKEA? If you answer yes to any of these questions, then congrats, you have increased Sweden's GDP. I could go on and mention ABBA but that would be cruel. (Interesting tidbit, Skype was a Swedish company until Microsoft gobbled it up) Can we all just take a second to give this great nation of 9.9 million a standing ovation for punching above its weight, it leaves larger nations in its dust. Also, shame on you that you couldn't find any local companies to help financially, instead sending your hard earned to those Vikings.

If you're unable to gain Swedish residency by September 9 to participate, then I suggest you locate a Swedish Consulate. (There's one located in prestigious Highland Park, Dallas. One mile from my residence - small world).  Once you find it, I implore you to start picketing if by any chance the Sweden Democrats (SD) surpass their 2014 result. Four years ago, this far-right racist party shocked the foundations of democracy by gaining 12.9% of the popular vote, in turn securing 49 seats (out of 349) in the Riksdag. Thankfully, since 2014 they are the only major party to have lost seats, currently left with 42 (independents now represent those seats). Okay, some will say that they have candidates running for them like Karl Robbjens of mixed Libyan and Swedish heritage, so they can't be racist. Well, many racist people happen to be those who have forgotten where their ancestors came from. It's like an American descendant of Italians who now hates on Muslims, forgetting that Italians were cruelly discriminated against when they first arrived on U.S. soil.

All Americans should thank Sweden on a daily basis, George W. Bush's inane slaughtering of Iraqi's led the ones left behind without homes, and in came Sweden providing residency and generous social welfare for hundreds of thousands (opened their doors to more per head of population than any other country) and they didn't even send troops to kill innocent woman and children in that fake war. Now many Swedes are blaming immigrants for all their problems, in the firing line happen to be these same refugees, among many other groups from other war-ravaged nations. But here's the thing, in most western nations the statistics don't lie. On average, the so-called pure breed in wealthy nations commit more crimes than those 'brown' people that racists like to blame. I should know, here in the U.S. the scariest people are often Caucasians with a terror lust, one simple background check of all the heinous crimes and you'll see that a white man (often Christian) is the perpetrator.

Whether it's in Sweden or any other advanced nation, this trend of blaming minorities for society's ills is insecure rhetoric. Even if you take away major crimes, you'll see that the pure citizens themselves aren't angels, domestic violence, child abuse, burglary, sexual assault belongs to no specific nationality. Sweden had a problem with rape and alcohol abuse long before the arrival of foreigners. The politics of scapegoating needs to end, and I trust the Swedish electorate will adhere to what makes them great: a pragmatic welcoming people that believe in a safety net for all, whilst still maintaining their strong business ethics. Sweden is admired for its social welfare policies yet still is a haven for capitalism - don't ever lose that Sweden.

Besides SD (led by a 39-year-old Klan member), seven other larger parties (2014 results below) and countless smaller ones will contest the 2018 general election, and a vote for anything but the SD is my recommendation. Recent polls have them taking some 20% of the vote, which is horrifying, but as we've seen recently polls can be way-off. Swedes obsess over America and fantasize about voting in our elections, so I'm returning the favor, time for we Americans to dream about being a Swede for a day and showing that geopolitics is something to take seriously, more so than Sunday night football. If the SD end up with less than 42 seats on 9/9/18 then I will walk into the nearest H & M and pick myself up a 'I heart Sverige' t-shirt.

Social Democratic Party (31%, 113 seats)
Moderate Party (23.3%, 83)
Green Party (6.9%, 25)
Center Party (6.1%, 22)
Left Party (5.7%, 21)
Liberals (5.4%, 19)
Christian Democrats (4.6%, 16)

Note: Current Government is a formal Coalition between Social Democrats and Greens, other parties such as the Left provide support to pass bills. 175 is the magic number for a majority in the 349-seat Riksdag, but as often is the case, Swedes are all about compromise.

It's time to play, who would you rather?

Vlogging, Big D style!

If you're encountering technical difficulties deciphering what yours truly is ranting on about outside one of the great/abhorrent (depending on your critical thinking skills) buildings in all of the land, then try clip below.

The following is a summary for those scared of watching a stranger telling it how it is!

In a nutshell I'm proposing the question, who would you rather (a fun filled game that could cause rioting in your home akin to playing Monopoly)? An illiterate family man that created two fake wars, in the process wasting a trillion dollars of taxpayers' money and slaughtering 500,000 humans or a an illiterate racist maniacal false truths adulterer who has yet to get on the slaughter bandwagon, but is showing signs of warmongering. (If you guessed that the former is Georgie and the latter is Donnie, then you're correct).

To help you make your decision, imagine that you're stranded on a desert island (I had to go there), which poor excuse for a President do you trust to be your companion, and in case of an emergency eat to stay alive. Remember, how you answer will determine who is America's 45th best President, no pressure.

PS. The man approaching me at the end of the clip is not secret service just one of those nosy 'bless your heart' Southerners.

The American obsession

Raise your hand if you spend time watching TV (seriously, does anyone own a TV in 2018?), streaming shows, browsing the web, posting on social media, relying on a plastic device? If your hand is up chances are you're using American brand names. Now if you rely on the aforementioned to the extent that it consumes more of your life than actually living then congrats, you're a human that is officially wasting your life away!

We’re all going to die, so while you're alive tabulate how much time you spend on American creations, compared to say: riding a bike, smelling roses, protesting (as in making a stand in public against injustice), eating breakfast with loved ones, giving the downtrodden a hand. I can just picture brains exploding, not pretty, is it? I don't know what's worse, Americans getting in lost in a plastic lifestyle or those living outside the U.S. desperate to get on American owed sites to revel in anti-Americanism.

We have two choices as humans (especially of the variety that live in places with clean drinking water and a half decent life expectancy). We can either leave this world having spent more time on American creations then actually living or detox from the white noise, so we can actually have an obituary written about us that doesn’t involve he/she spent more time on devices than spontaneously being lost in the physical world. Making a snow angel is way more cathartic than checking your mentions on social media.

My advice to non-Americans: if you're obsessed by this great nation, please move here, don't listen to the hysteria from Neanderthals who happen to be in government, America's always open. Stop using all things America and make the move, you'll feel better celebrating/putting down America while you live on its soil. Next time you do down the American technology rabbit hole, step back and use your passport. To those without documents, fear not, the U.S. still respects the undocumented, after all, this is a land built and founded by humanity in all its form.

My advice to Americans: just because you own most of the world's most famous brands and pretty much the whole world is connected by an American product, doesn’t mean we should celebrate it by sitting at home and wasting away. I know getting arthritis and losing your eyesight on plastic devices is all the rage, but just say no!

If you think long and hard, you'll realize that it's embarrassing just how of what we do 24/7 has American influence. Who do you know in your circle that doesn't use a product associated with the following: Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Netflix. Scary isn't it? That's just the tip of the iceberg...Look in your pantry, wardrobe, cinema/TV, music you consume, and you'll soon realize you're as pro-American as they come.

Time to practice what I preach, time to shut off the white noise and get out and protest against humans with their heads down. You never know your luck in a big city: one day humans might just spend more time smelling roses than fondling plastic devices. Deep down no one wants to die a life not lived, so I recommend switching off and making a snow angel, if that's too hard, roll down a hill.

Time to ratify the 28th Amendment

The President of the United States (POTUS) has a long history of either backing human rights abusers via cloak and dagger methods (CIA for those of you playing at home) or flat-out lusts over them in person. Case in point, Ronald Reagan was a master, not only openly backing the Contras in the 80's (carried out 1300 terrorist attacks in Nicaragua) but also the Taliban in 1983 (I'll let you think about that one next time someone dare mention that Ronnie is a legend) against the Russian invasion of Afghanistan. Then you have George W. (refer below) and George H. Bush who has blood on his hands as CIA director and 41st President (butchering thousands of Panamanians for his spat with Noriega and paved the way for Saddam Hussein to invade Kuwait, just so his son can get back at daddy's pal later on). Clinton who was too busy womanizing to use American might to stop the ghastly genocide of some one million Tutsi by the Hutu-led government in Rwanda. Obama will have to live with the fact that he decided to visit Riyadh four times, there's a reason why he authorized U.S. military drone attacks on Yemen, Saudi's despise the Shiite leadership in Sana'a.

(Side note: The only saving grace for Democrats is that they don't preach family values and small government. Republican Presidents increase taxes to fund wasteful wars and think they own family values, when in fact they love to contradict themselves. Rep. Tim Murphy of Pennsylvania ring a bell? You know, the anti-abortion politician that impregnated his mistress and had the audacity to ask her to have an abortion. My opinion still stands, both parties are too conservative, we need new parties that represent a real liberal democracy, ones that don't use taxpayer dollars for wasteful military spending, capital punishment and putting people behind bars).

For those with shorter memories...George W. Bush kissed King Salman and receiving a medal, so to Obama and that subhuman who happened to turn 72 today (his birthday wish is probably to trade in his third wife for a fourth and no doubt consolidating his support from Christian conservatives, they love a philanderer as seen by 80% of Evangelicals backing him in 2016). If you've followed my blog you'll know how much I "adore" the House of Saud and their Wahhabi doctrine, all they've done is play the U.S. to perfection, taking their arms and growing their terror network globally -Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra Front, ISIS are the "beautiful" babies they've birthed.

Why do I mention the leader of the free world's hypocrisy? On 6/12/2018 the DPRK received legitimacy on the world stage via their supreme leader, aided and abetted by China. Singapore and good old Uncle Sam. We don't need some unhinged despot who happens to lead the U.S. tell the world that it's an honor to meet Kim Jong-un. This is why I want aliens to take over, it's downright sad that taxpayers dollars are used to fund the travels of an empty headed POTUS so he can praise a man who starves his people and kills anyone who dare questions him cause he's all about using nukes as a thought control tool. How 'bout instead of signing a hollow document, we actually have a President that stares a maniac in the face and tells him to feed his people and accept liberalism before having a photo opp. Some would say what's the big fuss, granted the U.S., China and Singapore are both ruthless when it comes to human right abuses, one look at their death penalty practices says a lot, not to mention mass incarceration (BTW the U.S. still leads the world in this category).

The U.S. is all about promoting freedom and keeping human rights abusers in check, so the time has come for the POTUS to ensure the country he/she leads is free of the filth that should have no place in a modern advanced nation, I call for an amendment to be made to the Constitution. I'm no Constitutional lawyer, but in plain English I propose the following...

On this day 6/14/2018, I hereby call upon the 115th United States Congress to ratify the 28th Amendment: No POTUS shall kiss, hug, shake hands, receive a medal from a leader that represents an illiberal state. Furthermore, one that suppresses their populace and engages in racism and bigotry in all forms. To prove the U.S. is a beacon of liberalism, each POTUS is required to ensure America rises above partaking in practices not befitting of a modern advanced nation. We endeavor to lead the world by example, not just on empty rhetoric.

If you ever feel the need to vomit when a POTUS lectures the world on freedom, type the following into a search engine: W Bush kissing Salman. I will never get over the fact that Americans re-elected an illiterate nut-job for orchestrating two fake wars, built on the premise of eradicating terror networks, the same evil that Bush likes to get touchy-feely with. Here's hoping we learn from history and don't repeat the same mistake in 2020, re-electing an illiterate nut-job (with the bonus of racism and sleaze) who calls Kim Jong-un a talented leader.
